Version 7.10
Placeholders
We are introducing support for placeholders. A placeholder is a template for an upcoming delivery (which does not have a tracking number yet). To add a placeholder, start adding a new delivery and type any four digits (e.g. 1234). Once you add it, you will be able to later edit it (to set a real tracking number) and change its expected delivery date in the delivery actions.
New Settings
The app settings were rewritten in SwiftUI. There are only minor visual differences compared to the previous version, however, under the hood everything is completely different.

Carrier Color Coding
I am pleased to introduce one of the most highly-requested features - color-coding of deliveries based on a carrier.
You can enable this feature in the app settings and after that, every delivery will have its own color for the day counter and status icon. The color is based on a carrier.
Redesigned Apple Watch app for watchOS 10
Apps in watchOS 10 make considerate use of background content to convey additional information. Parcel is following this approach by providing different backgrounds for deliveries based on a carrier. This helps users to navigate and quickly identify deliveries.
When you select a delivery in the new watchOS app, you will the latest status of your delivery. Using the Digital Crown you can go switch to the next page and see its full history with all events listed in one place.
Parcel widgets in smart stack on Apple Watch also have different backgrounds.

Jan 13, 2022 Version 7.3
This update brings new map pins to the map view in the app and to the map widget. New pins have a fresh look and indicate what kind of an event took place on the map.
I hope that you will like them!
Please note that only new deliveries will get additional map pin icons (for the events like “out for delivery” and “awaiting collection”). Old deliveries that you had before installing this update will mostly show only truck icons (indicating that an item is in transit).

version 7.1.1
posted on 2021-09-30
Sep 30, 2021 Version 7.1.1
This app has been updated by Apple to display the Apple Watch app icon.
Improvements related to Amazon integration. Our previous update had a number of new features for iOS 15:
Live Text Support for Scanning Tracking Numbers (iOS 15 required)
Now you can use the Live Text feature in iOS 15 to quickly scan a tracking number using a camera from a package label or a screen. This is useful when you don’t have a barcode to scan and you don’t want to type a number yourself. To use this feature, tap on the camera icon when adding a delivery. Please note that you need a device with the A12 chip or later to use that feature.
Support for Time-Sensitive Notifications (iOS 15 required)
Time-sensitive notifications can optionally break through even when there is a focus mode enabled in iOS 15. Parcel sends time-sensitive notifications when a package is out for delivery, available for collection, or has a delivery exception. It also sends a time-sensitive notification when a package is delivered, unless there is a clear indication in the final delivery status that it was delivered with a signature or into the mailbox.
Added Support for Quick Notes (iPadOS 15 required)
Now you can quickly create a new quick note on your iPad when checking your delivery status. Once you start creating a new quick note, you will be able to attach a link to your current delivery.
Extra Large Map Widget on iPad (iPadOS 15 required)
Added a map widget in the new extra-large size on iPad.
Improved Keyboard Shortcuts on iPad (iPadOS 15 required)
Keyboard shortcuts related to the delivery filter settings are now grouped into a separate menu when previewing shortcuts (hold Command button to do that in iPadOS).

New Apple Watch App
The watch app was recreated using the latest technologies in watchOS 7 (SwiftUI). While it looks like the old app, it works much faster and now you can delete deliveries by using the "swipe to delete" gesture.

Delivery Descriptions for Amazon Packages Added Using Parcel Email
If you are using our Parcel Email service to get Amazon deliveries added automatically to the app, you have probably noticed that they no longer have proper descriptions like they used to.
This is because Amazon no longer provides order descriptions in its emails.
With this update, if you select a delivery from Amazon that was added using Parcel Email (with an order number in its name), you will see the option to sign in to Amazon. If you sign in, all future deliveries like that will be renamed automatically on your device.
Please note that your credentials are not saved in the app and are not sent anywhere else. It is a safe feature from a security point of view.
If you have not previously used Parcel Email, here is more information about it:
